I was in Lanzarote in May 2025 with my family and as always we hired a car.

As soon as I have the flights booked I book the car hire.I think people think ‘oh I want to relax on holiday and not drive’.

If you hire a car just to get to and from the airport, its worth it in itself.

Our recent trip was for 10 days and we paid €118.00 for an automatic car!

That’s €11.80 per day for 4 people! A private taxi or transfer can cost up to €60.00 each way.

We travelled to Arrecife shopping, went to a show in Puerto del Carmena and would often drive into town of an evening and walk/get the bus or a taxi home.
