On April 27, 2022, the new Royal Decree 933/2021 became effective, which establishes the documentary registration requirements and mandatory information of individuals or legal entities that carry out hospitality activities throughout the Spanish territory.

In lay man terms, all guests staying, in this case in private holiday homes have to be registered with SES.Hospedajes whether they are paying a fee or not. This was being carried out before, but the changes mean a lot more information is required.

I will be using ‘Check in Scan’ – I have tried this out and it seems to be very user friendly.

As a result, all guests will receive a link to or an email asking them to self-check in. All guests must be registered, and passport details must be scanned.

Once this is completed, I will receive an email confirming same. Only upon completion of this will arrival information be sent.

As this is something completely new, I expect a few teething problems so would appreciate patience and cooperation.
