Playa Blanca Villa Rental

Help & Advice

  • First Minute Transfers (seem to be highly recommended)
  • Viva Transfers
  • Hoppa.com
  • Taxi at the airport
  • Airport bus which brings you to Playa Blanca Bus Station approx. €3.50 per adult one way.  You would then probably need to get a taxi to the villa. €3/€4 for the taxi.
From the airport: Number 61 bus: this will take you to the main bus station at Playa Blanca. The cost is approx €3.50 per adult each way, From here you could take a taxi to your required destination or you could take the number 30 bus. The tariff for the Number 30 bus is €1.40 per person no matter which stop you require. The number 30 bus is ideal for guests staying at Villa Katarina as the bus stop can be seen from Villa Katarina’s entrance.

I always suggest ‘Autoreisen’ before a guest arrives in Lanzarote and you can collect the car from the airport.  I like this company because there are no hidden charges with them, you get baby seats/booster seats for free and you do not give any credit card information before your holiday.  You only pay at the airport.

If you need a taxi from the villa phone the following number and state your address.  Tell them the name of the residence you are staying at. The taxi will wait for you at the entrance to the complex.

Each property for rent has their own designated parking space outside the villa.

Playa Blanca has numerous restaurants and bars.  If you are looking for a few drinks of an evening the Papagayo Centre can get quite lively.

The Rubicon Marina has some beautiful restaurants, one of my favourites being an Italian ‘Aphrodite – Little Italy’ – if you like pasta then this is a must!  Furthermore, the centre of Playa Blanca has an array of restaurants to choose from.  Again 2 of my favourites would be ‘Asia’ – a Chinese/Thai restaurant and ‘Imagine’ – an Indian restaurant.  They are located right next door to each other on the strip.

La Rustica is a lovely Italian as is L’Artista and Avenida 55.   A lot of restaurants also offer a takeaway and delivery service.

For more information on the type of restaurant take a look at:

www.takeawaylanzarote.com

This website also offers 24 hours delivery service for alcohol and cigarettes.

Restaurants:

Casa Carlos – beautiful setting, would advise booking.

Arabellas – have not tried it myself yet but seems to be hugely popular and booking is essential!

Bars:

There is a lovely little bar around the corner from Villa Katarina ‘Antonios’

In the centre of Playa Blanca ‘The Galleria Bar’ is very popular and right beside ‘L’Artiste’ Italian restaurant – beautiful food, might seem a little expensive but service and quality of food makes it worth it.

Should you need to visit the dentist while on holiday, there are several dental clinics in Playa Blanca.  They are all private, as no dental care is covered by the health service in Spain.

‘The London Dental Clinic’. They are located in Tias which is a 20 minute drive away and all speak English. I needed a dentist during my own holiday and I could not recommend them enough!

If you need to see a doctor during your stay you will need to visit the Centro de salud – Local health Centre which is on Avenida el Vaeadero.  They offer a 24 hour service.  Make sure to bring your EHIC (European Health Insurance Card) and Passport.
