If you have read my latest blog post on ‘Paseo Lasal’ you will know my family and I experienced 2 visits to the new Italian restaurant: Restaurante Roma

We love Italian food and couldn’t wait to try it.

On our first visit it was 4 of us, the kids apparently were not hungry but had room for ice cream!

Each adult had a pasta dish, and the portions were perfect, not too overwhelming, just right and delicious! The kids had 2 scoops pf ice cream each and when I say the selection to choose from is enormous, I mean it! My daughter (chocolate lover) went for a scoop of Oreo and a scoop of Milka, my son who is quite adventurous went for a scoop of banana and a scoop of After Eight! The ice creams came out looking delicious with wafers etc and were priced at €4.50 each.

In terms of price, for 2 glasses of wine, 2 adult mains, a side of garlic bread, a mineral and a water and the 2 ice creams, price was €72.65

I would say the area and restaurants are definitely more expensive than other areas but it is really upmarket and the service is incredible, the waiters are very good with children and lots of lollie pops given after!

We were so impressed we made a reservation for 2 days later with our extended family (6 adults and 5 kids in total)

There was a lovely table set out for us and the outdoor seating area is so beautiful, the meal, service, food, everything was just fantastic! Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the evening.

Every adult had a main course as did all the kids, some (mine!) asked for another serving of spaghetti! Every child got the scoops of ice cream, there was a bottle of wine, beers, minerals, so many cocktails we lost count and some coffee at the end. There was nothing left on our plates and considering all the drinks and food we had we were impressed with the bill of €368 for a group of 11.

We left a good tip also, the service all night was incredible, the waiters seem so genuinely happy and always checked if we needed anything and if everything was ok.
